A short getaway

I know it's a little too late to blog about this, but yes, I'm back to Singapore two days ago from Malaysia. I was there to attend the birthday gathering of my grandmother at Muar, Johor.

Some of you may have heard of Muar, Johor before, while some may not.
If you haven't heard of it before, here's a link to some brief background. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muar_town

Muar is one of the place that I really want to take photo at, especially the river and its bank.
That's the only (kampong-atmosphered) place I have been to.
You don't really get to see this kind of scene in Singapore everyday, unless you live at Kampong Lorong Buangkok (The Last Kampong in Singapore).

Back to the point, this getaway was really short, just only about a day or so.
Set off at 6am in the morning, and returned at 1pm the next day.
Although it's a short period of time, i definitely had a fun-filled day.

This is my second time heading back to Muar for this year. I won't be back until next Chinese New Year. I'm gonna miss out a lot I guess.

I shall stop here for now, there's a lot that i wanna blog now, but i shall save it for the next post :)

Forgotten

It just take a few seconds to be forgotten.  I can't emphasise much about being forgotten, but being forgotten by someone whom you were so close with in the past, really hurts.

I can't believe that I don't even hold a place in their hearts. And it just hurts even more when friends that you follow on insta and twitter start posting about what their friend did for them and so on. Doesn't it hurt deep down in your heart when you realise your friend(s) did nothing for you.  It's just like they have so many friends and yet, you were not being remembered. Probably you don't hold a significant memory in their life.

I'm sick and tired of my social life.

True story.

Because sometime it's too much

I'm sure that my blog is kind of a little bit dead for this week.
Yes, I'm very sure. It's been a week since i last blogged, and that was while I'm on the train back home from work last week.

So here's what's going on for me in this (hectic) week.
--

I swear I'm not gonna attend my public speaking lecture anymore.
Afterall, there's no attendance being marked anyway. Reason being that there's only 6 public speaking lecture, and each being an hour or less. It's a complete waste of my time.

Work on Tuesday was really a slack. The snow globe and Photo Booth wasn't up on Tuesday yet and I was transferred to the Redemption booth, which i think there's a lot of work to do. However, because of my 'talent', I was stationed to take care of the AV console. For those who doesn't know, I have a 5 year experience in Audio Visual equipments and stuffs related to it. I won't call myself a professional, but I think I'm just a curious cat.

Cool isn't it.

However, things took a massive U-turn on Friday. Work wasn't like it used to be. The snow globe was up for the first time, and there was many power trips. Hate that but got to accept that reality.
Because of the shortage of manpower, the other brother and me have to do many things outside of our jobscope. Which is somehow unfair to us though.

Nevermind that since it's only one day. But what makes me frustrated and angry is that they took the last customer at 10pm, take and print photo which lasted till 10.15pm.
By then, we then started to pack our equipments and bring it down to the basement storeroom which was right beside the middle of the carpark and there were so much dust. By the time, we finished all these work, it was 10.40pm already.

The problem here right now is that, I'm getting paid till 10pm and yet, were told to do extra things without any extra pay. I mean if it's minor stuffs and only lasted till 10.15pm (which i still barely accept it), then it's alright to me. It's only 15mins, i won't be that petty anyway.

But shit, it's a 40mins work done and yet, no benefits were given.

Free labour, you call that. I spoke to the mall management along with my bro and thankfully, they were understanding and willing to speak to the company dealing with the photo booth.

--

Enough of those raging. Time for some fun.
Today was really interesting and fun. I had a BBQ with my alumni members at Pasir Ris Park.
Although only less than 40 people turned up, the atmosphere was there, everyone was having fun catching up with their old friends.

And yup, managed to get a talk with Mrs Tan and Mr Minjoot as well, especially about the topic of the alumni and its path ahead.

There were many suggestions given and all of it seems to be a good idea. However, this means that there will be more commitment as well. I have to better manage my time in the time to come.

Hopefully, one day I'll be better.

Love locks and Great snow globe

Work is getting better and better nowadays. If you read my previous post, I mentioned that I'm working at Clarke Quay Central as an event Marshall! It's an event that will last till 29th December, my last day is on 28th though! Can't wait for the pay actually !

This 2 days is really relax, slack, eat. Doing just very minimal tasks.  Think about having a job that give you 8/hour with smoke, ice cream, eat break beside toilet break? Yup, life's good.  Since this is a 4 hours job, definitely there's no eating break (duh?).

It's nice to meet some of my colleague, they are most friendly colleague I have seen, probably because of the interest that we have. I'm not sure either.

Anyway, here's a picture of me and my another colleague which was taken yesterday.  The quality of the photo isn't very good since it's just setting up and testing out the photobooth.

And oh yeah, I'm not sure if you guys know that there's a love lock fence at the Central, but anyway, I'm telling you, get one for only $4 at the concierge of Central and tie your love with you forever with this lock.   (Hopefully, it lasts)

Hope you guys had a great TGIF and a fabulous Saturday! It's back to doing tutorial for me once I get home! See you!

Over and over again!

It's quite some time that I update this blog, alright, maybe just 5-6 days though.  Well, I gonna try my best to update my blog every now and then, so if possible, you guys can help me to advertise my blog as well! This blog isn't as up to standard like other blogs such as xiaxue, naomineo etc. But nevertheless I'll try to kill your boredom when the time is right!

So here goes... over and over again.

It has been 3 weeks since school started, I mean my timetable is damn light, with only like 5 modules.
Yup. You see it right.  I'm taking only 5 modules this semester (Financial Accounting 2, Business Stats, MacroEcons, Organisational Behaviour and MY LAST CDS! - Fundamental of Public Speaking) .

Definitely there will be quite a lot of free time for me, but it's suck when there's long breaks. Like 3-4 hours break between lessons, but it's better off than some people having 7 hours of break.  That's too extreme I would say.

With such a amount of free time, it won't be wise not to work, isn't it?

Starting tomorrow, I'll be working at Central @ Clarke Quay temporary! I'm not sure which part of the mall I'll be at since I'm not working at a shop.  There will be a photo booth in Central and you'll probably see me.  And my working hours is fixed, 6-10pm only!

I really love this time slot as it's like CLARKE QUAY, for goodness sake.

I'll be working from tomorrow until December 28th.  Of course there will be certain days that I'll not be working, especially when I'm having my mid semester tests. But yeah, I'm gonna work throughout my December holidays except for that special day of mine, 21st December.

Talking about that, I currently have no plans for my 17th birthday.  I wonder what to do on that day.

Anyway, hopefully I'm able to survive in this temporary job. Bless me guys!

If I could, sometimes

What would you do if you're given a chance to wish for something that you want ?

Simply, leave everything behind and enjoy your life.
--

It doesn't seems that easy. Leaving everything behind?
Can you really ensure that you will leave everything behind without worry for anything, something?

Enjoy your life?
How are you going to enjoy your life, especially when you're a broke.

I would wish for something like a simple life.

A simple life could be something that you find nothing that you can be worried about.

Or perhaps, something that you feel free?

But having said so much, all of us have integrated into a world where luxury are being such a worthy thing and admired.

Who doesn't want to have a luxurious life?

If only life is just as simple as it is, we won't wish for something that might be beyond our reach.

Probably some of us can reach it, but not all of us.

If I could, sometimes I wish the world would have never exist.

Humans have became far too ambitious.
Craving for fame, getting deeper knowledge and some, greed.

If the world does not exist, life will never be so interesting.
Something will be quiet. (Not the world, there's no word for it anyway.)

If you understand this, you will see the true existence for us.

Colours.

COLOURS

Yup, I'm deeply in love with colours right now. Especially colours that are mixed together.
Ohmy, that's really something worth it.
Next time, get me something colourful HAHAHA.

Tutorial today is seriously the most boring thing ever on earth.
Can you believe that the tutor actually repeated the lecture again?! He took approx. 1h30min.
And he went through the tutorial questions like a bullet train or maybe a few light years?
I have no idea but he took only just 15mins to go through those questions.
IF ONLY. IF ONLY. HE GO THROUGH THE QUESTION AT THE START OF THE TUTORIAL.

What a bad start for a Friday. But I'm really thankful that I have a bunch of friends to hang out with, at least. I managed to meet up with a few of the colleagues that i met during the Mediacorp Subaru Challenge thing thing. Lunch was at Mensa 2. Western duh.

Lecture was at 2 and i can't seems to focus. It's organisational behaviour, for goodness sake.

Thank god it end sooner than expected and I met this szb which was a very impromptu thing.

The impromptu was actually to ikea.
There were many things we talked about. From gossips to some old stuffs to every single thing.

Thanks to her, i had an awesome friday. Somehow.

I'm happy.
